WhatsApp Business Message Templates: 45 Samples for India
Ready-to-use WhatsApp message templates for orders, appointments, payment reminders, feedback and offers, plus the approval rules Meta applies.
Published by Web Hippo in Strategy
These are WhatsApp message templates you can copy and use today, grouped by the situation they belong to: orders, appointments, payments, feedback, offers and festivals. They are written the way Indian customers actually read messages, short and polite, without the forced enthusiasm of most sample libraries.
If you send through the WhatsApp Business API, these also need to pass Meta's template approval. The rules for that are at the end, and they decide what you pay per message.
Before You Copy: The Rule That Decides Your Bill
Meta sorts every template into a category, and each category has a different price. In India a marketing message costs roughly ₹0.86 while a utility message costs about ₹0.115, so the wording you choose has a direct cost.

Ask everyone, not just happy customers. Filtering out unhappy customers before asking, known as review gating, is against Google's policies. Our guide on handling bad reviews covers what to do when a negative one arrives, and you can create your review link with our Google review link generator.
Offer and Re-engagement Messages (Marketing)

Getting Templates Approved
- Use variables properly. {{1}}, {{2}} are placeholders. Templates that are almost entirely variables get rejected.
- No URL shorteners in template links; use your own domain.
- Match the category honestly. Meta re-categorises templates that contain promotion, and you pay the higher rate anyway.
- Add an opt-out line to marketing templates, and honour STOP replies immediately.
- Avoid spelling errors and ALL CAPS, which are common rejection reasons.
- Create separate templates per language. Hindi and Telugu versions usually outperform English for consumer audiences in India.
